Till they meet again....

So this weekend was a tough one. Jennifer and Dax left for Charlotte, North Carolina today and we said goodbye to them after lunch at the Ginza yesterday. It was very sad to see her leave my mom, dad, and Dori. I knew she would leave Pittsburgh eventually but saying goodbye to my family never gets any easier. Even after living apart from my family for almost 7 years, I still tear up sometimes when I leave them after spending the weekend in Pittsburgh.

So Jennifer and I did our baby belly bump one last time and the next time we see each other we will be MOMMIES!!! So baby Vuadens and Macyn Steele will meet outside of the womb this coming December. I can't wait for them to meet.

Baby kicks

So this past weekend, our little pumpkin has really wanted us to know he/she is in there. I am really starting to feel kicks and movements all day long. I first felt something a few weeks ago but not like this. At first, I was a little worried because I didn't know why the kicks were so faint. I wasn't sure if there was a reason why Harris couldn't feel the kicks as well from the outside. So I asked my Doctor and she basically said that since my placenta is on the top, its like our tiny little baby is kicking through a pillow and that the kicks are not as evident on mothers with the placenta on top. Well only a day after that appointment, I guess baby Vuadens decided to prove the Doctor wrong and show that placenta or not they are going to show Mommy and Daddy that they are there and are ready to be known. It all started with one night when I was laying in bed watching TV and felt little kicks one after another. So I called for Harris and told him to feel my stomach. Our little one went nuts! One after another, we felt them go.... This was the first time Harris had felt it more than once and was so excited. I teared up because every time I see how exicted he gets when it comes to this baby, it touches my heart to know that I am giving him a baby of his own. I thank God every day for this blessing because no one deserves an opportunity to be a father like Harris and I never thought having his baby would make him so happy but he is already ready for #2.

Every one's generosity and extreme excitement was really displayed these past couple of weekends at our baby showers. Thank you to all the people who came and helped us celebrate the expecting of our baby. It was so very nice of all of you who made the effort to come out. Thank you to everyone who couldn't make it and were still so thoughtful to give us a gift. You all did so much for us and we cant express how truly grateful and happy we are that we are going to bring a new life into this world full of people just like you.

I cant wait to introduce everyone to our little arrival when its time. We will never forget everything you have all done for us and we will always let our baby know how blessed and lucky he/she really is because they were loved and cherished before they were even born and that is so special.
